We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our school's senior leadership team from September 2025. The role combines SENDCo with an Assistant Head role that reflects the high priority given to inclusion and SEND across our school, whilst also strengthening our leadership team. The successful candidate will be passionate about inclusion and SEND. They will have high aspirations for ALL children. They will be ambitious to further develop inclusive practice across our school, ready to make a world of difference to our children's lives and shape the future of Kingstone and Thruxton Primary. 

We are looking for:

• A forward-thinking leader who is ambitious for all children and dedicated to providing them with the fullest possible educational experience
• Somebody who has significant SEND experience within a school setting and who is committed to working in partnership to effectively develop our strong school systems and achieve the best possible outcomes for learners with SEND
• Has achieved, or is prepared to work towards, the NPQ for SENCos/NASENCO award
• Someone who is committed to collaborative working who can inspire, challenge and care for our staff, children and parents
• Someone who is enthusiastic, compassionate and positive
• An outstanding role model for our school family with an understanding of the challenges and rewards of teaching

Kingstone Academy Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. The successful candidate will be subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service enhanced check and further pre-employment checks will be conducted in accordance with KCSIE. The post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and the School is therefore permitted to ask job applicants to declare all convictions and cautions (including those which are "spent" unless they are "protected" under the DBS filtering rules) in order to assess their suitability to work with children.
