Job details

Lugwardine Primary Academy serves a catchment based around the villages of Bartestree and Lugwardine. Located within Bartestree, the school is on a housing estate with easy access to fields and farmland. Less than the national average of pupils is in receipt of free school meals but Lugwardine's rural location means in general the children have less opportunity to engage with wider experiences. We are a fully inclusive school with happy and enthusiastic children, highly motivated staff and a supportive Governing Body.

Lugwardine Primary Academy wish to appoint an outstanding Classroom Teacher to teach our Reception class. We would like to hear from you if:-

  • you are an outstanding classroom practitioner with a proven track record in raising standards
  • you have enthusiasm and a strong commitment to achievement, safeguarding and welfare of all children
  • you have a sense of humour, and the ability to inject fun into learning
  • you have high expectations of pupil behaviour
  • you are flexible, accommodating, and a team player
  • you are able to lead, inspire and motivate staff and children
  • you have positive relationships with parents

The successful candidate is required for September 2025. We welcome applications from both experienced teachers and ECTs (full induction and mentoring package for ECTs).

Lugwardine Primary Academy are proud to announce that we are working in association with Three Counties Academy Trust. This partnership will enhance our ability to deliver high-quality education and support to our community.

Lugwardine Primary Academy is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. The successful candidate will be subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service enhanced check and further pre-employment checks will be conducted in accordance with KCSIE. The post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and the School is therefore permitted to ask job applicants to declare all convictions and cautions (including those which are "spent" unless they are "protected" under the DBS filtering rules) in order to assess their suitability to work with children.
